Sponsored Weddings

How many people out there know the cost of weddings these days? They seem to be rising each year and with the high cost of weddings, couples are searching for ways to cut the costs of wedding expenses. A few are opting for having a sponsored wedding.

What is a sponsored wedding?

It is a wedding in which business owners donate a product or service to a couple's wedding in exchange for subtle advertising. It sounds easy but really takes a lot of dedication. Many have tried but only a few have been really successful. The reason for their success is that they took their time and created a type of "business plan" to present to potential sponsors.

I had a sponsored wedding and it was grand. I took 1.5 years of planning and it was extremely time consuming. I have been interviewed by many media outlets regarding my sponsored wedding and what motivated me to want one.

Sponsored weddings are not for everyone, it is a lot of hard work - double the work of planning a regular wedding. But some people out there have the dedication and that's great! Some try it but give up... Like I said, it's a lot of hard work having a sponsored wedding.

A lot of people have emailed me wanting to know how I did it... In answer to them, I say that I worked my tail off and it PAID OFF. There are the skeptics, though, that will say it ruins the beauty of what should be the most important day of your lives. Well, I can honestly say it didn't ruin my wedding day. It was a beautiful event with many happy people.
