Maid of Honor Checklist

Your Maid of Honor will be single, whereas if married, she is called the Matron of Honor. Either way, she should be at least 18 years of age, the minimum age most countries require to sign a legal document such as a marriage license. She will stand next to the bride during the ceremony, and may possibly offer a toast at the reception.

-Arranges bride's train and veil.
-Co-hosts shower and bachelorette party.
-Coordinates bridesmaid's gown fitting.
-Help the bride dress and finish packing.
-Help the bride undress and change into her going away outfit at the end of the ceremony.
-Holds groom's ring and brides bouquet during ceremony.
-She may deposit gift cheques and look after the presents while the bride and groom are honeymooning.
-She may help the bride address the invitations.
Sign the marriage license.
-Support the bride in all her needs.
-Take care of storing the brides wedding dress.


Who Pays For What - The Traditional Arrangement

-She will pay for her attire and be responsible for travel expenses.
