Best Mans Checklist

Your best man should be at least 18 years of age, that is generally the age required by most countries for signing legal documents such as your marriage certificate. He will sit at the bride's right, at the head of the table. Encourage him to dance with the bride and attendants throughout the night. He is fourth in line to dance with the bride.

-Assists groom to pack the going-away car
-Assist with wedding details
-Assist with finding accommodation for out-of-town guests
-Co-hosts and helps to arrange bachelor party/dinner.
-Coordinate tux returns
-Help coordinate usher's and groomsmen's duties
-Holds and makes sure officiant's fee is paid
-Holds bride's ring during ceremony
-May confirm honeymoon travel arrangements
-May like to send champagne and flowers to the honeymoon site
-May sign marriage certificate
-May act as the evenings MC
-Proposes first toast at the reception
-Provides groom's transport to the ceremony, and helps him get ready and to ceremony on time
-Reads congratulatory telegrams and messages
-Remove rings from ring bearers pillow at proper time
-Will lead the bride and groom at the end of the night to exit

Who Pays For What - The Traditional Arrangement
-The best man may choose a gift for the Groom, pay for his attire and be responsible for his travel expenses
