The Ushers/Groomsmen have an important role to play in making sure events run smoothly, or at least appear to be! It is helpful to have mature men who are not timid and able to take control when any small problem occurs, or answering the many questions guests may ask. The groom should be confident he can enjoy the evening with his bride. The last thing he needs is to be running around fixing problems and answering questions. All groomsmen need not have the role of an usher, and vice versa. Depending on how many groomsmen you have in your wedding party will determine if you call upon other close friends and relatives to fulfill the duties of an usher. On top of all the following, they need to set an enjoyable happy mood by being proactive in dancing, firstly with the bridesmaids. As a general rule, you will need one usher to seat every 50 guests.
