The bride has endless fabric options for her gown. Satin is the traditional fabric and may be worn during any season or degree of formality. Satin; however, can be very hot in the summer. Other popular options are tulle, organdy, chiffon, cotton and synthetics. During winter months gowns made of brocade, lace or velvet complement the season well. Gloves for the bride are a beautiful touch, depending on the style of gown chosen. Gloves come in a variety of length, styles and fabrics. Some styles are available with a removable ring finger. Always remember to remove your gloves for the ring ceremony if the style glove you have chosen does not come with a removable ring finger.
If the bride’s wedding set is an engagement ring/wedding band combination the bride is to wear her engagement ring for the ceremony until the ring exchange. She should wear no other jewelry with colored stones unless her fiancé has given them to her as a wedding gift.
