In times past it was not appropriate for so young a boy to wear long pants or tuxedo’s. Today, depending on area and culture, it is up to the bride and groom. Traditionally the ring-bearer would wear a white linen suit with short pants and an Eton jacket. His shoes and knee socks are also white. If the suit is to be dark, then dark shoes and knee socks. Today, the ring-bearer may also wear a child’s suit or tuxedo.
