Your Maid of Honor will be single, whereas if married, she is called the Matron of Honor. Either way, she should be at least 18 years of age, the minimum age most countries require to sign a legal document such as a marriage license. She will stand next to the bride during the ceremony, and may possibly offer a toast at the reception.

She may deposit gift cheques and look after the presents while the bride and groom are honeymooning.

Support the bride in all her needs.
Take care of storing the brides wedding dress.


Who Pays For What - The Traditional Arrangement

She will pay for her attire and be responsible for travel expenses.
