ABOUT RENEE:
I'm Renee Robichaux from Thibodaux, LA. I am a senior at Nicholls State University, majoring in elementary education (pre-k--3rd). I will graduate in fall 2008.

ABOUT JARED: His name is Jared Borne. He was born and raised in Larose, LA. Jared attends Herzing College in New Orleans, and is majoring in Computer Networking.

HOW WE MET: We actually met through myspace. I was bored and just started browsing for friends I already knew...and happened upon his site. I didn't add him until a few days later though. He posted a bulleting which included his aim screenname, so i added him on aim...but i didn't talk to him at first. About a week later, i got up the nerve to say "hey" and we started talking. A day or two later, we spontaneously decided to go to new orleans. He met me in Thibodaux, and we drove to new orleans. It was an amazing night. He forgot his phone in my car, so he came back the next day to get it. he ened up staying till a/b 2am...and i was leaving for Tennessee the next morning. We texted and talked a lot while i was there. We started dating a/b a month later.

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED: December 25, 2007

HOW IT HAPPENED: I woke up early to go to Larose. I was still in my pjs. Jared said he got some perfume for me. I was like, "ok." and just went on talking to his parents. A few min. later, he told me to come see the perfume he got me. So i went to his room. My eyes went straigt to the large bottle of perfume and i sprayed it, and said it smelt good. Then i looked down at the table again, and there was the ring. I said, "what's that?" and then he grabbed the box and got on his knee and proposed. I said, "are you serious?" "Is this real?" He said, "YES, im serious!" And i said yes (jared said i did, i couldnt even remember). I just remember him putting it on my finger and giving him a huge hug! After that, we went tell his parents!

ABOUT THE BIG DAY: We have no idea on the date yet. TheKnot just made us estimate. All we know is that it will be either spring or summer 2009! Jared has not announced his best man yet.
