How We Met

Ironically enough, we basically met twice. While I was engaged to someone else, one night we were talking on a chat line. Nicole, who at the time was staying with her parents in Ridgetown, Ontario (aprox. 3 hours away), asked if I would like to come up for coffee and meet her. The idea was great, and sounded really good, but because I was with someone else.... I just couldn't.

So a couple years pass, and again... out on that same chat line... low and behold.. there she was again.. That same sweet, sexy voice... This time was different. I had just removed myself from that bad relationship....

We sat on the phone for 11 hours talking.. My room-mate Lee at the time, thought I was crazy... So Nikki and I finally said, why don't we meet for coffee... and we did.

We went to Tim Horton's for a coffee... and I went back to her place for an hour or so. She seemed very nice... At first, I didn't think she was into me... but... that all changed.

I called her the next day, and invited her and her friends to join me and my friends for Karaoke at Romby's (my usualy hang out)... She came.... it was nice.... I sang... we danced.. I bought her a rose...

The Proposal

A few years later, while on a trip to Las Vegas, I thought it was finally time... The first time we went to Las Vegas, Nikki wanted me to dance with her in front of the dancing waters at the Belagio Hotel... So we did... This time around, with the help of her father (Gary.. I miss you so much).... He had the ring hidden in his suitcase.

We got there, and he started filming the waters (with cam corder).. Nikki thought he was doing this, so I could send it to my parents.... What she didn't know is that I had got down on one knee, and asked her to marry me.

She said yes, and as they say... the rest is history...

In love, and happy... I sometimes hate the life that I live. I hate my job, the money, and just general stuff...

BUT! the one thing that makes me happy is Nikki. I can't wait to see her after work. I can't wait til were in each others arms.

I can't wait until we can be as one, and spend the rest of our lives together.
