Just this past December, Kimberly traveled to Maryland for what she thought would be another typical holiday season visiting family and friends. Little did she know Julius was setting the stage to make it a holiday she would never forget. Being the traditional gentleman he is, he asked Kim’s for her father for her hand in marriage and talked to his own parents about his intents. On the evening of December 28th, Kim's birthday, Julius treated her to a romantic dinner by candlelight. Over dinner, they marveled at how good the Lord had been to them and how faithful He had been over their relationship. Career paths had kept them apart geographically by hundreds of miles, their commitment to one another only grew stronger. As dinner came to an end Julius took Kim’s hand and began to express even more his love for her and anticipation of one day building a life with her. He dropped to one knee, asking her to be his bride and presented the ring. Kim happily accepted his proposal with a teary-eyed “Yes!”
